How We Celebrated An Unforgettable 70th Birthday With Our Celebration Stadium (Customer Review)

It’s inspiring to see how celebrators deploy their Celebration Stadiums - we love that so many of you share your experiences! Here’s a great product review from a creative 70th birthday milestone event held in Seattle in December…

"We wanted something special for my 70th birthday cocktail party . . . like 70 actual candles instead of one “70” candle! I was worried that all those candles' flames would merge into one big fire, so we were excited to come across this clever Celebration Stadium. It comes with ten modules that hold ten candles each, so you just use what you need. The candles are spaced perfectly so that each flame stays separate. It is quite safe when used per instructions. The candles stayed in place with no problem because, again, we actually followed their instructions to insert the candles until you can feel them start to come through the bottom (you just kind of twist them a bit, and they push through easily, and stay tight).

It does take more time than just stabbing candles willy-nilly into a cake, so we set the whole thing up well before the party started. We used a 24" diameter mirror as a tray to hold our standard 8" round cake in the middle with the stadium behind it and curly ribbons and photos around it. When we were ready to light the candles, we had two people with electric candle-lighters start from each end . . . and it did take a few minutes, but the candles did NOT melt right down or tip over or anything else other reviewers complain about. It worked PERFECTLY!! My friend held up a fire extinguisher just for laughs--we never came close to needing to use it! It doesn't need rubber feet (as one reviewer suggested) to keep it from sliding around because it is designed to be a stationary object! When used as instructed, it is completely stable and safe. An earthquake (or unattended small kids or large pets) would be the only thing to make it slide around!

It's easy to change the color to fit your color scheme. We were doing black and gold, so didn't really like the white color of the modules and flag holders. This was easily solved by spray-painting each piece black (using two very light coats). They took the paint perfectly; no need to sand them first or anything! We also spray-painted some bendy straws to use as the flag holders, which worked great! When it came time to light and blow out the candles, we just bent the flag holders down out of the way--not actually necessary, but just an added benefit of using bendy rather than normal straws.
The whole thing worked perfectly and looked quite spectacular, especially when it was lit! It took me about 12 tries to get them all blown out, haha! Everyone loved it. In fact, they made us light them all over again so I could blow them out AGAIN, so that they could all get more pictures and videos. Even after all of that, these slow-burning candles are STILL plenty long enough to use again.

It's especially nice that the modules are stackable, so that the whole thing takes up no more storage space than a shoebox. We will definitely use this again. Thank you for such a great product! We highly recommend it. If you read and follow the simple instructions, and take your time setting up, you will not be disappointed.

Thanks again for providing this great product. We love it."
