New York Cake Pops: June Cakery of the Month

Who doesn't love cake pops? But how can your birthday party be complete with candles and those tiny, delicious cake balls on a stick? Answer: Celebration Stadium candle holders will beautifully display both candles and cake pops.

For today's blog post we visited New York City to find the Big Apple's finest cake pops. Based on consumer reviews and our taste tests, the hands down winner is New York Cake Pops. Our photo features their spectacular Pink Ombre cake pops in a small-size Celebration Stadium with the lower Manhattan skyline in the background.

Founded by entrepreneur Lerida Mojica in 2009, NY Cake Pops are crafted in their kitchen in Chelsea, and sold in such iconic venues as Yankee Stadium, Madison Square Garden, and the Plaza Hotel. Lerida came to New York City from Mexico to work as an intern at the Guggenheim Museum in 2003. She started making cake pops for her own kids, then friends began requesting them for birthday parties. She posted some pictures of her creations on social media and almost immediately had an order for 6,000 cake pops! Today NY Cake Pops ships nationwide.

Today cake pops are popular around the world. But did you know the first cake pops (according to the internet) were created in 2008 in Georgia by Angie Dudley aka "Bakerella"? The picture below is from her first cake pop post, setting in motion a chain reaction that got Angie on to the Martha Stewart show and a global wave of cake pop creation.

We would love to see how you use your Celebration Stadium with cake pops and candles. Instagram was basically made for this reason!
